Where will be the toughest part of the route?

Tricky question to answer given there are so many factors that could contribute to a part of the route being ‘tough’. But based on what we know Western China doesn’t sound like a great thrill! 3000km of highway through empty desert and nasty headwinds means this is likely to be one of the most challenging sections of the trip. Here’s a glimpse of what it’s going to be like based on what we kind find on the internet.
