Detour to Kyrgyzstan
Our planned route involves a minor detour south to check out Kyrgyzstan, described by many as the Switzerland of Central Asia. Situated in the foothills of the Himalayas our arrival here will be a welcome break from the thousands of miles of bare scrubland and flat, monotonous horizons of the Central Asian steppe that we will have just crossed.
